I wasn’t sure if I was reading the ending of The Giver right. I wasn’t sure if my pessimissim was making the end unhappy in a way the author didn’t attend, so naturally, I wrote the author an email. I didn’t even really expect a response, but low and behold, I check my email, and I have a response waiting in my inbox for me.

I finished The Giver by Lois Lowry. I understand why it’s required reading in our school district. This book was insane in a good way. Just the idea of sameness itself is terrifying. I am currently reading The Giver by Lois Lowry. This is required reading for everyone in third and fourth grade. The fact that I moved around so much as a kid means that I never got to read it. Some one recommended it to me, so I made a friend dig through her old books to find it for me.

Our mall is in the crisis zone where they’re trying to bring in new stores. I think this is insane, because people here just don’t have the money to spend.
